Gippsland Region Seed Banks
Leongatha Seedbank Inc.
The Leongatha Seedbank supplies South and West Gippsland with seed from local of native vegetation. It operates to support the revegetation and restoration of vegetation communities from the coast to the forests of the Strzelecki Ranges. It is a non-profit enterprise with a community-based committee of management.

Maffra Seedbank
Maffra Indigenous Seedbank is administered by Greening Australia (Victoria) and supplies seed for the Gippsland Plains, focusing in particular on the area between Traralgon and Bairnsdale. The seedbank stocks seed from seventy different species ranging from Eucalypt seed to seed from grassland species. Orders placed by the end of November each year are supplied as a priority but sufficient stocks are held to meet most later orders.

West Gippsland Seedbank Association Inc.
The West Gippsland Seedbank, based in Warragul is still in its early establishment phase, and was formed in January 2007. It is a non-profit, community association with members from various Landcare groups, Friends groups and Walking groups in the local district. The Seedbank is run by volunteers who collect seed and manage the running of the seedbank.

Wonthaggi Seedbank
The Wonthaggi Seedbank is community driven by committed volunteers, providing their time to develop a seed collection base for the Coastal Plains region of the Bass Coast. The seedbank provides seed mainly for landcare direct seeding projects, but also for nursery propagation. Seedbank members are committed to providing benefits for the local environment. This has included providing funding to undertake weed control works throughout Coastal Plains area.
Operating hours: Volunteer seed collection every Monday 10am to 1pm.

Yarram Community Seedbank
Contributing to Biodiverstiy through Indigenous Seed Collection and Storage
The Yarram Community seedbank operates to source and supply indigenous seed for revegetation within the Yarram Yarram Landcare Network area.
